We were on a 1 year holiday around Australia with our three children at the time. We were camping at Mt Granya State Park near Wodonga, Victoria. We had the whole campsite to ourselves and it was just beautiful. We could have been anywhere. At night time we sat around a campfire and cooked in our camp oven, as we often did on our travels. It was a beautiful clear night and we could see every star in the sky. I remember thinking, “What a great way to live.”
We went to bed that night and around 2 am I woke up to a flood of lyrics in my head. I fought it for a while but it got the better of me so I got up and went out and sat in the car with a pen and paper, and a torch. Half hour later I had a song.
